Hi, I'm Matt! No matter your age or experience, I believe everyone has a "piano personality" waiting to be discovered — and helping you find yours is my greatest joy. I'm a professional pianist, composer, author, and music professor with 15+ years of teaching thousands of students and earning several national and international awards. I've worked with Grammy, Emmy, and Academy Award winners. But my favorite people to work with? My students.

I've worked with clients in all 50 states and 30+ countries, spoken at 20+ international arts conferences, ranked in global music competitions, and been a best-selling author of music books. I launched Matt Hodge Music on YouTube to bring that same global passion directly to piano learners — and it's already grown to over one million views.

PASSIONATE TEACHER
My greatest passion is teaching — and paying forward what my own inspiring teachers gave me. With three music degrees and 15+ years as a university professor at five institutions, I bring real depth to every lesson. My students have performed on Broadway, in national tours, film, television, theatre, studio albums, and with premier companies such as Disney and Universal. But honestly? I'm just as proud of the student who picks up the piano at 60 and learns to play their first song with a smile.
