These Piano Inner Circle Terms of Service ("Terms" or "Agreement") govern enrollment in the Piano Inner Circle membership program ("Piano Inner Circle" or the "Program") offered by Matt Hodge Music, LLC, business mailing address 831 Forward Ave #1118, Pittsburgh, PA 15217, United States, email [email protected] ("Matt Hodge Music," "the Company," "Matt," or "we"), and the individual enrolling in the Program ("Client," "Member," or "you"), collectively the "Parties."

BY COMPLETING CHECKOUT AND SUBMITTING PAYMENT FOR PIANO INNER CIRCLE, CLIENT ACKNOWLEDGES THAT THEY HAVE READ, UNDERSTOOD, AND AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THESE TERMS IN FULL. If Client does not agree to these Terms, Client should not complete enrollment. These Terms take effect as of the date Client's enrollment payment is submitted at checkout (the "Effective Date").

1. Program Overview & Term

Piano Inner Circle is a premium, year-long piano coaching membership offered by Matt Hodge Music, LLC. These Terms govern the services provided to Client for a term of one (1) full year, beginning on the Effective Date and ending twelve (12) calendar months later (the "Membership Term"), unless earlier terminated as provided in Section 9.

2. Services Included

During the Membership Term (one year), Matt Hodge Music will provide Client with the following services:

  • Lifetime access to Matt's Basic To Beautiful online piano program, including the VIP Piano Community, all current and future Basic To Beautiful content, and exclusive discounts and perks available to Basic To Beautiful members. This access does not expire at the end of the Membership Term.
  • 24 Private One-on-One Lessons (approximately 2 per month) — Each lesson is conducted virtually over Zoom, is 60 minutes in length, and includes a downloadable video recording.
  • 24 Personal Piano Feedbacks (approximately 2 per month) — Client submits an audio or video recording of themselves playing, and Matt records and sends back a feedback video up to 15 minutes in length.
  • Guaranteed entry into each monthly live virtual Group Piano Workshop held during the Membership Term, including downloadable video recordings of each workshop, plus exclusive access to downloadable recordings of all past Group Piano Workshops, for the duration of the Membership Term.
  • 6 Guaranteed Spotlights during Matt's weekly YouTube Live Streams (approximately one every two months), consisting of either a song dedication or a mini piano review.
  • 6 Custom Video Piano Gifts from Matt, for Client to use as gifts for family or friends, over the course of the Membership Term.
  • 1 Custom Digital Studio Album — Matt will arrange and record 10 songs requested by Client into studio-quality, downloadable digital audio tracks.
  • Custom Sheet Music Support — Matt will personally curate, edit, or arrange lead sheets, sheet music, and/or chord charts for Client as needed during the Membership Term. Matt and Client will work together to determine which requested songs are feasible for this support.
  • Highest-Priority Email Support — Matt will personally reply to emails sent to [email protected] by Client within 12–24 hours for the duration of the Membership Term. Client agrees not to use this access excessively (for example, sending multiple emails per day, every day, for an extended period). Matt will notify Client if email volume becomes excessive, and will notify Client in advance of any period during which he will be unreachable.
  • Priority Calendar Booking & Zero-Penalty Rescheduling — Client may book lessons up to three (3) months in advance, compared to the standard two (2)-month advance booking window available to other Matt Hodge Music students, and may cancel or reschedule a lesson on the day of the lesson without incurring any cancellation fee. Client acknowledges that booking and rescheduling are still subject to actual availability on Matt's calendar at the time of selection, and that Matt will not cancel another student's already-scheduled lesson to accommodate Client.

3. Payment Terms

Client will select one of the following payment options at the time of enrollment. The exact price for each option is displayed to Client on Matt Hodge Music's payment/checkout page at the time of enrollment, and the price presented and agreed to at checkout governs over any other quoted amount. Pricing is subject to change for future enrollments but will not change for Client once enrolled.

  • Option A — One-Time Annual Payment: the full membership price, paid in one payment at the time of enrollment, as shown at checkout.
  • Option B — 3-Month Payment Plan: the membership price divided into three (3) equal monthly installments, as shown at checkout, with the first installment due at enrollment and each subsequent installment due every 30 days thereafter until paid in full.

Client selects their preferred payment option directly at checkout. Completing checkout with a selected option constitutes Client's agreement to that option's payment schedule.

If a scheduled installment payment is declined, fails, or is not received on time, Matt Hodge Music will notify Client and attempt to process the payment again. If the payment issue is not resolved within seven (7) days of notice, Matt Hodge Music reserves the right to pause Client's access to services until payment is brought current. All fees are quoted and payable in U.S. Dollars.

4. Cancellation & Refund Policy

Client may cancel this Agreement within seven (7) days of the Effective Date for a full refund of any amount paid, by providing written notice (including email) to [email protected].

After this seven (7)-day period has passed, all payments made under this Agreement are final and non-refundable, regardless of the extent to which Client has used the services described in Section 2. If Client selected the 3-Month Payment Plan under Section 3, any remaining installments continue to be due and owing on their scheduled dates even if Client stops participating in the program, cancels early, or does not use all available services.

5. Unused Services

Matt Hodge Music will make every reasonable effort to ensure all services described in Section 2 are delivered to Client within the Membership Term. If, as the Membership Term nears its end, any services remain unused or undelivered, Matt Hodge Music will proactively communicate with Client to arrange a mutually agreeable resolution (which may include scheduling remaining sessions before the term ends or another accommodation determined by Matt Hodge Music).

6. Renewal

At the end of the Membership Term, Client will have the option, but not the obligation, to renew their Piano Inner Circle membership for an additional one (1)-year term at a discounted annual renewal rate. Matt Hodge Music will communicate the applicable renewal rate and terms to Client prior to the end of the then-current Membership Term. Renewal is not automatic and requires Client's affirmative acceptance.

7. Use of Recordings & Testimonials

From time to time, Matt Hodge Music may request Client's permission to use written or video testimonials, comments, or footage from Client's participation in Piano Inner Circle for marketing and promotional purposes. Matt Hodge Music will only use such materials publicly with Client's consent, given at the time each specific use is requested. Client may decline any individual request and may withdraw previously given consent at any time by written notice (including email) to Matt Hodge Music. Absent Client's consent, all lesson recordings, Personal Piano Feedback videos, and other materials created under this Agreement remain private between the Parties.

8. Assumption of Risk & No Guarantee of Results

Client acknowledges that musical skill development depends significantly on individual practice, effort, and consistency, and that Matt Hodge Music does not guarantee any specific level of musical achievement or outcome as a result of participation in Piano Inner Circle. Client participates in all lessons, workshops, and related activities voluntarily and assumes responsibility for their own physical comfort and well-being (e.g., proper posture and hand positioning) while playing piano. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Matt Hodge Music's total liability arising out of this Agreement is limited to the amount actually paid by Client under this Agreement.

9. Termination

Either Party may terminate this Agreement early in the event of a material breach by the other Party that remains uncured for fourteen (14) days after written notice of the breach. Matt Hodge Music also reserves the right to terminate this Agreement immediately in the event of abusive, threatening, or harassing conduct by Client. Any refund obligations arising from termination will be handled in accordance with Section 4 of this Agreement.

10. Communications & Notices

All formal notices under these Terms should be sent to [email protected] (for Matt Hodge Music) and to the email address Client provides at checkout. Notices are considered received one business day after being sent by email.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be resolved in a court of competent jurisdiction located in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.

12. Entire Agreement

These Terms constitute the entire understanding between the Parties regarding the Piano Inner Circle membership and supersede all prior discussions or agreements, whether written or oral, on this subject. Matt Hodge Music may update these Terms from time to time for future enrollees; the version of these Terms in effect on Client's Effective Date will govern Client's Membership Term and will not be changed to Client's detriment without Client's written consent. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

13. Acceptance of Terms

No physical or electronic signature is required. By completing checkout and submitting payment for Piano Inner Circle — whether via the One-Time Annual Payment or the 3-Month Payment Plan — Client affirmatively accepts these Terms of Service in their entirety, effective as of the Effective Date. Client's continued participation in the Program constitutes ongoing acceptance of these Terms for the duration of the Membership Term.
